The Hand Ranks, Explained

The High Card is a hand that does not conform to any other hand ranks.  Meaning, not a single match can be drawn in this rank.  The High Card is a normal occurrence during the flop.  Though High Card may still happen during the river, where no cards are of the same rank, suit and do not have a sequence.  Also, the High Card is known as the lowest ranking hand rank, but we don’t stop there.  One Pair can still save you during the turn.  In One Pair, there are at least two cards, of the same rank, but of different suits, that makes a match.  For example, you have the Ace of Hearts and two of Diamonds, and the turn is revealed to be Ace of Clubs. The two Ace’s are considered one pair in this round.

Another match under the hand ranks when playing dewa poker99 is the Full House.  Full House is a combination of Three of a Kind and One Pair.  These matches or pairs do not necessarily follow a sequence, as long there are Three of a Kind and One pair, it would suffice the Full House rank.  Advancing to the other ranks, Four of a Kind is a little difficult to achieve because it is composed of four cards of the same rank.  So it must be four Jacks, four Aces, four fives and so on.  Another hand rank is the Straight Flush, as the term implies, it is a combination of Straight and Flush.  In Straight Flush, the cards must be in a consecutive order, all of the same suit.  An example of the set of cards in a Straight Flush is four, five, six, seven and eight of Hearts.   And lastly, the Royal Flush.  The Royal Flush is similar to Straight Flush, except, the Faces.  In the Straight Flush, the cards are composed of the numbers, while the Royal Flush is composed of the faces – the king, the queen, the jack, and the ace.  The Royal Flush follows the same standard as the Straight Flush- the cards must belong to the same suit.
